Summer Camp at Braebern Farm

Ready to ride?

Summer camp may be the answer!

Learn barn management and the proper way to care for a horse including feeding, stall maintenance and turnout of the horses. Learn horse care in a hands-on atmosphere through grooming, learning how to wrap legs and visit with a vet as well as farrier to learn the important roles they play in the care of horses. You'll also learn about tack - parts of the saddle, bridle and leather care. But it's not all work, there's plenty of play too! Daily riding lessons will be held and on Thursdays we'll have a Trail Ride! Ever play "pin the tail on the pony"? Scavenger hunts and arts & crafts activities (horse related, of course!) are also on the agenda. Friday is show day - invite your parents and friends to see what you've learned during the week!
